So as of the middle of November John was laid off from his job in Abbotsford. John began looking for work right away but once again with the purpose of looking for a job he would enjoy, not just another job. A few resume's here, a few interviews there and alas we are still job-less. Around the beginning of December my parents offered to hire John to renovate their basement over Christmas holidays. We accepted and trekked from Chilliwack up to Grande Prairie for a planned one month stay at 'home'.
We loved the time spent with all the new grandma's and grandpa's and they enjoyed every minute of snuggling, playing, and getting to know their grandson! John worked hard on the reno's and my parents basement looks amazing! A highlight for us was also that my grandparents 
and a few aunts and uncles from my mom's (Wiebe) side of the family came to Grande Prairie for Christmas. It was a blast to see all of them also enjoying our little boy even though he was one tired grumpy bear the next day. After Christmas we moved to John's parents place right in town and had another amazing Christmas celebration with his whole family.
We always enjoy playing lot's of games with the Gall family and this year was no exception.
We had planned to return to Chilliwack last week but unfortunately my grandmother on my dad's side passed away. It was not expected but not a surprise either. So in order to stay for the funeral we extended our stay by another week. The funeral was in La Crete and was old colony style... if you're interested in what that all means, email me and I'll fill you in on all the crazy details. Although it was a sad time it was also a blessing to see many relatives on my dad's side and again... show off the new baby :) That said, Raglan has met a whole lot of relatives in the last month... So now we begin to settle into life back in Chilliwack and begin to try and figure out what is next in store for us. We are glad and blessed to have a 'dry' house to return to even with all the flooding in our area and can't wait for the promise of NO MORE -40 for this winter :)For those of you who would like a brief update on Raglan's progress he is currently weighing in at 14 lbs 12 oz (90th percentile for his age) and is now 25" long.
