Beautiful Maple Leaves falling, Mushrooms growing everywhere, still, calm waters, some rain, some sunshine, time to go to the beach with daddy... We are very much enjoying our fall. It's actually been busier than expected. This year I volunteered to coordinate the rental groups that come and that has surprisingly taken more time than I thought it would. I enjoy being able to use my office skills again and it has pushed me to be more involved with everything at the camp. John has also been very busy.

The summer project of re-doing the septic and waterlines for the whole camp is ongoing and now he is busy coordinating the big machinery that is here to make that happen. Lately he's been working with a crew to bring in giant concrete septic tanks, making sure they all are put in the right places. Next he'll be plumbing them into the lines that were buried this summer. All in all it's a lot of work and I'm pretty sure if he ever sees another shovel, pick axe, or jackhammer, it will be too soon. Raglan's fall has been completely consumed by 'big trucks'. Since seeing some of the big machinery around the camp he has become completely obsessed with anything remotely resembling a 'big truck'.
Literally his first words upon waking up are "truck" or "dump truck" or "digger". We've been reading books about trucks, drawing trucks, playing with trucks, and pretending to be trucks. It's fun seeing his interests come out and see him get excited about something.
