Raglan's First Ocean Adventure

Last Saturday we headed out with our good friends Dan & Catherine to White Rock for a walk on the beach and some good fish and chips at Moby Dicks. The wind was cold but all in all it was a wonderful outing, enjoyed by all.
You can't see in the pictures very well but we do have Raglan and 2 week old Livia along. They are both hidden away trying to keep them warm. For those of you following Raglan's health currently he's on two medications that will hopefully lessen the throwing up. We decided to try them for one month and see how it goes. He's been on one type of meds for almost a week now and there hasn't been much change yet so we added the second. Over all I'm not too sure if the trouble is worth it but we will give it a good go for a month before we decide. In the meantime we will continue just having fun and splashin' around.

Bibs...

As I was thinking about this post the title became more and more fitting. I've recently caught the sewing bug and have been whipping out a few cool little bibs for Raglan and possible some other lucky recipients.

However the reason we are needing more bibs is part of this post as well. Since he was quite young Raglan has been a puker. I had asked a few times how much was too much but always got the answer 'he'll grow out of it', 'don't worry about it'. So I didn't. A month or so back feedings became a little frustrating for both mom and baby as Raglan would get fussy while eating and quite often not eat very much. Then a few weeks back his weight gain slowed significantly. Now bear in mind, overall Raglan is a VERY healthy little boy and in no way looks like he is suffering but we decided to take him to the doc just to make sure. Well sure enough the doc thought he was throwing up too much and referred us to the pediatrician. A few weeks later and now I'm on a 5 day trial of a no dairy diet and then if that doesn't change things, medication for baby reflux. The Pediatrician said that Raglan is really on the border of where they start medicating but she figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out and see if things get better. So anyways, overall he's doing great and is a healthy happy baby but it would be really nice if he didn't throw up all the time. So there you have it. That's the latest.

Raglan's Crazy Hair Day...

So the other day I gave Raglan a bath as usual and afterward when his hair was dry this is what it looked like. No amount of smoothing down would make this curl go away... It was so funny I had to take a picture.

I happen to think our little boy is pretty cute so I've been trying to take a few pictures here and there in my hopeless attempt at creative "photography". It's a good thing he's already pretty cute...
He's been smiling more and more now and we've also got those cute giggles coming pretty regularly now...

And... at the end of a long day nothing beats a sleepy snuggle nap together :)
