Pray, and pray hard. Pray for the youth here that are so bombarded by the world around them, that they can't be open to what God is doing here. Pray that he breaks down those walls and that they can get past their culture to see him.
I had the chance for the last few days to be a part of a cabin! It was wonderful. I got to share my testimony and then this morning I got to be a part of discussions. The girls that I am working with are struggling with the idea that our God would be so intolerant and so harsh as to send people to hell. Instead of them seeing the gift being offered to them they see the punishment of those they love if they chose to believe what we are telling them. Pray that they can get past this. Pray for Victoria who is their counselor, who is struggling this week and is also not feeling well. Pray that God would continue to do great things!
Tonight was a much simpler evening chaple than usual. Those of you who have been here before need to picture Q-town, but accoustic. Russ and three others are in a stage in the middle of a circle. The stage wasn't high so in the back you couldn't see them. Russ only had his guitar plus one other guitar, a singer and a jambay drum. They startded right off the bat with contemporary worship songs (no Q-town songs) and then Andy, the speaker came up and gave a huge talk on grace and mercy. They did this symbolic thing where they had crosses in pools of water, Huge crosses standing up in a little kiddy pool. The instructions were that if we wanted to be washed or take anything to the cross, we were to go and wash in the pool. I would say about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of the room got up and went over to the cross. It was really cool. Then we just continued to have a powerful worship time. It was great, so powerful.
Pray that the youth who went to the water would be changed people forever, and that those who did not would continue to think about it and ask big questions.
