Well, Christmas has come and gone this year but I just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas. This has been a different holiday season for John and I, being away from our families and missing out on some of our treasured family traditions (like eating all the ugly jam jams with my mom and having a try at winning the nut prize with John's family) Know that you all were missed as we celebrated but that we did have a wonderful Christmas.
We'd love to hear how your Christmas went so please comment your favorite moment or memory from your holiday this year. For all you anonymous commenters, when you are choosing an identity you can actually click "other" and then type your name (leave the "website") box blank and then instead of being annonymous you will be "mom" or "anna" or whatever... Unless of course you want to continue to be annonymous which is okay with us. :)
We love you!

Hi John and Andrea! I just read through all your posts, and am so impressed with you both! How fun!! Uncle Bill and I were in Indonesia (Bali and Papua) in November. It was so fun to be back in my ol' stoppin' grounds, and to be able to show Uncle Bill where I had grown up! Very cool! Grandpa and Grandma stayed with Tyson and Austin while we were away, and of course Vanessa was at school. It's been fun to be together over Christmas.
Take care and know you are in our thoughts and prayers!

Hey John and Andrea! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! You were missed at the Wiebe get-together at Aunt Barb and Uncle Danny's place! It sounds like you are having an amazing time!

We thought and talked about you on Christmas - enjoy the sun much? :) We miss you tons, and we hope you had a wonderful day together. We go back today to begin prep for the Staff New Years Retreat...wanna come?
Will look for a recipe or two for ya, Andrea.
Take care. Thanks for keeping in touch!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
This Christmas was special for many memories here are a few: Josiah and Noelle handing out presents and yelling exhuberantly as only 3 & 4 year olds can, "Another present for me? ! :-)
Having Mom and Dad Gall stay with us and working together cooking, working at the dog kennel and all the help they were.
Going to Urbana in St. Louis Missouri for Steve's IVCF Mission's Conference and helping with registration and high school seminars, hearing Rick Warren and his wife speak and worshipping God with 21 000 Christians on New Years Eve.
Having the Junior High Class over to our house for their Christmas Party the last day of school before Christmas. Going skating in our yard, playing games, having 26 people in our little place :-) cosy!
Hosting 34 animals in our newly expanded dog kennel over the Christmas weekend including some cats, and one tarantula. Mom Gall especiallly liked helping with the spider :-) especially the taking it back part.
Recipe ideas:
Hoeboe Supper- potatoes, carrots, onions, finely chopped laid on tinfoil with butter and salt and pepper lay on coals, turn often.
good with warmed pork and beans cooked in the can they come in, the beans can be substituted for the meat in your meal as they are loaded with protein.
Eggs on a grill- eggs can be kept unrefrigerated for three weeks safely.
Grilled egg pies - use pie iron place english muffin in with one grilled egg, piece of cheese, cooked bacon, and jam. Warm over coals serve with fresh tomatoes.
*Remember these from all those camping trips in jasper w/ Mom & Dad:-)
Bannock- flour water salt, leavening ? mix make dough cook on stick over fire turning often eat like biscuit. Maybe I could find a more precise recipe, it's really good.
Also Recipes.com has tons of recipes
Happy Camping love Anna & Stephen
Happy new year y'all. Looks like Anna has already given the low down on our time with them, little tikes sure supply a lot of exuberance in a room full of presents!
We had a great time with Mel's folks in Sarnia, Mom says that "Kevin is a lot like you dear". Whilest, I be thinkin' Mom is a lot like Donna(Mel's mom)!!
I trust that the two of you will continue to enjoy your spree of glee in New Zeee, you are a verrry special couple.
Love ya lots

ps. I could sure use a full time shoveling partner, 15cm with 40-50km winds sure brings things to a halt, we saw +5 and sunshine in Sarnia and about the same in Duchess, landed back in G.P. with high winds and b/4 we were out of the terminal with our bags, Jack Frost had created a white out to welcome us back home. I guess he just missed us and wanted to give us his best welcome, y'all will just have to do without for now, hope that you can figure out how to melt the sand out of your hair. I have my doubts that you could ever substitute it for God's fresh water store house. (that is the other "S" word, the one that I could use the partner for)
